Bald-Faced Hornets

How do I identify a Bald-Faced Hornet?
Color: Black body with a white face.
Size: Very large for a yellowjacket, usually 5/8" – ¾" long.
The most distinguishing feature of Bald-Faced hornets is their black and white coloring versus black and yellow.

Have Bald-Faced Hornets infested your home?
Typically these hornets build there nests high up in trees, shrubs, utility poles, houses, or other structures but the nests can be found almost anywhere from ground level up to 66 feet or higher.
Most all nests are built in an exposed area and made up of what looks like gray paper material.

Will Bald-Faced Hornets bite?
Bald-Faced Hornets can be extremely aggressive when their nest is disturbed and will sting repeatedly

Will Bald-Faced Hornets damage my home or structure?
They will not damage the structure but for safety reasons a nest on or near a home should be removed by a professional.
